Context:

Unknown maker, 1931. Willa Cather returned to the family home in Red Cloud for the holidays in 1931 for the "first hard Christmas" following her mother's death. A local Sunday school group came to visit and had their photograph taken with Cather in the front parlor of the house. Attending the Christmas Party were:
